Early, late...I think I started paying attention again in the 90s. Even then it was sporadic.

    Question

Wasn't that called Lone Star and the Texas Rangers?

<font size="2" face="Comic sans ms, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yes they were totally cool they came out not too long after Saber Rider finished, there was some vague mention that one of the companies doing the 80's cartoons comics might consider doing the Galaxy Rangers but it was only a vague thought.

Don't you just hate it when you go on about the biggest cartoons of your childhood and the person looks at you like your about a hundred years old and says I have no idea what you're talking about.

That's the look I got the last time I mentioned Strawberry Shortcake, Blueberry Muffin and the evi Purple Pieman. Please tell me some one remebers them the dolls of the characters used to smell like their names.

And Ski Lonestar and the Texas Rangers is what it was called when in Japanese, they changed the name for the english version, at least I think that's what I think it said when I tried to look it up to buy it on DVD(sadly nowhere to be found)

I'm 100 years old! That's why I didn't recognise your "new fangled" cartoon heros. You kids these days!

Well, I also don't remember "Galaxy Rangers", but it's possible that (1)I didn't get whatever channel it came on, or (2) it came out at a time when I wasn't watching many cartoons.

I never saw the Galaxy Rangers, but enough of my friends loved it that I've heard it mentioned numerous times. There are a ton of pages out there for it, too, Eris.

Chaos, I remember the Strawberry Shortcake dolls. I used to sniff them in the store. Actually, I was really into Strawberry Shortcake for a few years. Every product that I can remember smelled like strawberries. I loved it.

I am the biggest 80's cartoon whore. If you want to know if someone remembers an 80's cartoon, chances are that I've seen it, if not at least heard of it.
